PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that on April 28, 2025, at 5:30 PM, at 589 Fairground Road, Lewisburg Pennsylvania 17837, that the Supervisors of East Buffalo Township, Union County, Pennsylvania, will act on an Ordinance f which this notices is the summery authorizing the  issuance of an awarding of it $765,000, principal amount, general obligation Note, at a private sale. If enacted, the Ordinance will award the Note to the purchaser thereof, approve the form of the Note, fix rate of interest to be paid, pledge the full faith and credit of East Buffalo Township for the payment thereof, create a sinking fund and authorize the proper officer to take the necessary steps to issue the Note. The funds to be obtained from the borrowing will be used for the following purpose:

Turtle Creek Park Bridge Replacement

A copy of the full text of the proposed Ordinance may be examined in the office of the Secretary of East Buffalo Township at 589 Fairground Road, Lewisburg, Pennsylvania 17837, on any business day (except Saturdays and Sundays) between the hours of 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM prevailing time.

Bid Notice – Seal Coat Project

Multi Municipality Combo Seal Coat Bid. Sealed proposals will be received by East Buffalo Township, Union County, PA, at 589 Fairground Road, Lewisburg PA 17837, until 1:00 PM, on April 22, 2025; to be opened on April 22, 2025, at 1:15 PM. Limestone Township will approve bid on May 7, 2025; Union Township  will approve bid on May 8, 2025; East Buffalo Township will approve bid on May 14, 2025; and Lewisburg Borough will approve bid on  May 20, 2025. Final bid will be awarded on May 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the East Buffalo Township Municipal Building for the following:

Seal Coat Project:

Furnish and place approximately 126,049 SY of Fiber Reinforced Seal Coat (Stone Supplied); 137,005 SY of Asphalt Fog Seal; 10,956 SY of Asphalt Seal Coat (Stone Supplied); 28,213 SY Double Seal Coat (Stone Supplied); 10,305 SY EDP-30 Oil or Equivalent.

Bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of contract. A certified check or performance bond in the amount of 100% of the contract made payable to the Municipality will be required from the lowest responsible bidder for contract.

All work and material must meet current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Specifications Form 408 and its Supplements. Proposals must be upon forms furnished by the Municipality. The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
