Single stream recycling is a system in which all approved recyclables are commingled in a single bin and transported to the processing facility at the Lycoming County Resource Management Services (LCRMS) to be sorted into various commodity streams for sale to markets.
Due to the requirements of Act 101, the recyclables collected by the Township, either curbside or at the drop-off center, must be source-separated. That’s the long way of saying that the Township can’t provide our residents with Single Stream Recycling. However, Single Stream Recycling is a service being provided by several private refuse haulers serving East Buffalo Township. Contact your hauler for more details.
